The Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 64-52 to Larue County. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bethlehem in their matchups with Larue County: they've now lost four in a row.
Larue County found their leader in underclassman Landon Blakey, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. Blakey is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Daniel Allen was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Bethlehem's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Larue County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
Bethlehem won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Kentucky Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on February 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Kentucky (Kentucky Country Day is ranked 147th, while Bethlehem is ranked 166th). As for Larue County, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Oldham at 6:30 p.m. on February 10th. North Oldham knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 24 matchups -- so hopefully Larue County likes a good challenge.
