The East Aces's game two weeks ago was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against Southeast by a score of 50-39. This was payback for East, who suffered a 55-51 defeat the last time these two teams met.
When it comes to explaining why Southeast lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alana Webb. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points along with three steals. Webb continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Ma'khiyah Jones was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two blocks.
East's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Southeast, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bishop Carroll the next time they take the court. Southeast will host Bishop Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while East will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
