After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Athens, Columbia was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the New Hope Indians as the Columbia Eagles made off with a 9-1 victory. Alfredo Gordillo was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

Columbia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those four games. This is the second loss in a row for New Hope and nudges their season record down to 6-6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia will host Bob Jones at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Hope, they will be playing at home against Oneonta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Hope has given up an average of 4.6 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.
