This season hasn't been kind to the Wakulla Christian School Saints, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They took a hard 66-51 fall against Aucilla Christian on Thursday. If Wakulla Christian School hoped to take revenge for the 50-47 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Langston Stephens and Hunter Bourgeois certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Stephens scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Bourgeois scored 14 points along with two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stephens has scored all season. Freddy McClendon was another key contributor, scoring two points along with three steals.
It was another big night for Ethan Bass, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 assists for Aucilla Christian. Bass hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Benjamin Faglie, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Wakulla Christian School bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Aucilla Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wakulla Christian School will challenge Wewahitchka at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Wewahitchka is ranked 771st, while Wakulla Christian School is ranked 785th). As for Aucilla Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Echols County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Echols County is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
