The Climax-Scotts Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Colon Magi at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Climax-Scotts is ranked 475th, while Colon is ranked 461st).
Climax-Scotts scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 57-44 win over Calhoun Christian. The victory was just what Climax-Scotts needed coming off of a 50-28 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Colon pushed their score all the way to 62 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 70-62 to Quincy. Even though they lost, Colon's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 52 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dalton Williams, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Muntian, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Climax-Scotts has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. As for Colon, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-8 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Climax-Scotts ended up a good deal behind Colon in their previous matchup back in February, losing 60-45. Can Climax-Scotts avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
