After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop Kenny, First Coast was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Raines Vikings get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. With that victory, the Buccaneers brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Lynneisa Whittington made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, Baylee Williams was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Gates, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.
