Adding to the longest winning streak in Western Illinois Valley - North this week, Central beat West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] 35-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Panthers.
Illinois School for the Deaf lost to Calhoun 69-24 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jordan Manges was a bright spot for the Tigers, as he ran for 275 yards in the loss.
Manges provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Illinois School for the Deaf lost to the Warriors.
Manges was a beast in the backfield as Charles Hicks' team lost to Calhoun.
Dean Arendt was the best receiver in the league this week as Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia fell to Greenfield/Northwestern. Arendt tallied 2 receptions for 43 yards. Tristan Wise helped Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 43 yards.
The Trojans' Nate Shanks and Wise led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-7 quarterback Shanks has thrown for 364 yards this season, while Wise has 6 catches for 182 yards. Austin Kramberg from Central leads the league in rushing with 1,091 yards.
