The Beddingfield Bruins scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 72-56 win over Spring Creek. Given Beddingfield's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Gators are ranked 427th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Natasha Marshall continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten assists. She hasn't dropped below two steals for 11 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamyla Hill, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Beddingfield is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Spring Creek, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-10.
Beddingfield will take on the Cougars at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Goldsboro comes in on 16 and the Bruins on four. As for Spring Creek, they will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Johnston's defense has only allowed 25 points per game this season, so the Gators' offense will have their work cut out for them.
