There's no place like home for The Apollo Ridge Vikings, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 37-33 victory over Burrell on Friday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
It was another big night for Karter Schrock, who rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 236 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Mccray, who picked up 193 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Several Bucs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Devin Beattie, who picked up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Cooper Hornack, who gained 146 total yards and a touchdown.
Apollo Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Burrell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Apollo Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Burrell will head out on the road to face off against Mohawk Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
