The East Mountain Timberwolves will venture away from home to challenge the Bosque Bobcats at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (East Mountain has 12 straight wins, Bosque has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, East Mountain got the win against Sandia Prep by a conclusive 17-2. The Timberwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Quinlan Gwyther made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.
In other batting news, East Mountain got a massive performance out of Charles Birdwell, who fired off two triples, three runs, and three RBI while going 4-for-4. What's more, Birdwell posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Rylen Radosevich, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
East Mountain kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Bosque came up short against Hozho Academy on Saturday and fell 9-4.
Luca Kalishman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.
East Mountain's victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bosque, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
Bosque's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: East Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .356. It's a different story for Bosque, though, as they've only averaged .179. Will they be able to contain East Mountain's hitters?
