Middletown extended the longest winning streak in Division III this week by beating Narragansett, 48-20. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Islanders.
Burrillville and Lincoln played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Burrillville eventually emerging with a 7-6 victory.
Moses Brown's dynamic duo of Eric Cosmopulos and Nick Liguori proved tough for Tiverton to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Cosmopulos threw for 267 yards and three touchdowns and Liguori had 152 yards receiving. Sebastian Ferrell helped Moses Brown's passing attack out by catching three balls for 53 yards.
Randolph A. Butler Jr. was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 15 carries, he ran for 145 yards as Middletown defeated the Tigers. Connor J. Russ also contributed to the rushing game with 128 yards on the ground.
On the ground, Andrew Leys' team's Butler Jr. has rushed for 1313 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Timothy Shea. The Classical star has 27 catches for 510 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between East Greenwich and the Islanders. The Avengers comes into the matchup ranked 10th in the state, while Middletown ranks seventh.
