Vista PEAK Prep made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,075 from 10,261.
Elizabeth's dynamic duo of Brody Oliver and Chase Nicholas proved to be unstoppable against Roosevelt, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Oliver threw for 93 yards and Nicholas had 41 yards receiving. Jacob Burgett helped Elizabeth's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 26 yards.
Burgett was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Cardinals beat the Roughriders. The 5-foot-11 junior.
Wayne Arnold was a passing and rushing force as Weld Central bested Alameda.
The Bison's Noah Butler and Isaiah Young have formed a dream team this season, leading 3A Metro - East in both passing and receiving yards. Butler has thrown for 1,007 yards this season, while Young, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 27 catches for 506 yards. Englewood's Nick Bersagel leads the league in rushing yards with 658.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Elizabeth takes on Vista PEAK Prep. Chris Cline's team is in first place, while Pat Rock's team is in fifth place.
Fort Morgan led the league in scoring this week by notching 38 points on Denver North.
