  Payton Burnham made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. Burnham has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in nine consecutive pitching appearances. Burnham was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Brooke Peterson was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played.  Ashlyn Martin was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Grants Pass' victory  ended  a  five-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 5-8. As for Sheldon, their record is now 8-3.
