They came out on top against Portales by a score of 50-39. That's another feather in the cap for Clovis, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Clovis' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zarai Lewis, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Lewis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gianna Cordova, who scored 12 points.
Clovis is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Portales, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.
