The Susitna Valley Rams can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They blew past Minto 45-24. The squad ran away with 35 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Despite the defeat, Minto saw an underclassman step up: Jena Smith scored 14 points.
Susitna Valley's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Minto, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Susitna Valley and Cordova will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Minto will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Effie Kokrine Charter at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
