Pittsfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marcello Arienti, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Arienti has scored all season. Da'Sean Brown was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Pittsfield is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Minnechaug Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Pittsfield will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wahconah Regional at 7:30 p.m. As for Minnechaug Regional, they will head out on the road to face off against Pope Francis Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pope Francis Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Minnechaug Regional in Massachusetts (Pope Francis Prep is ranked 20th, while Minnechaug Regional is ranked 109th).
