Meanwhile, Ocean View Christian can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match two weeks ago. They blew past Logan Memorial Education Campus 3-0.
One reason for the win was Ocean View Christian's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-8.
Ocean View Christian's win came from a few key players The Cambridge School will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tori Worthington, who had seven kills and seven aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Della Sandoval, who had nine aces.
Ocean View Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 37 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 16 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
The Cambridge School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Ocean View Christian, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Everything went The Cambridge School's way against Ocean View Christian in their previous meeting back in September, as The Cambridge School made off with a 3-0 win.
