Millry has gone 6-1 against Jackson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wildcats will challenge the Aggies at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Millry turned things around against Washington County on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since April 25, 2025.
Caden Welford was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Jacob Graham was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Jackson's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Leroy on Monday. The Aggies were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over Clarke County. Considering the Aggies have won seven contests by more than ten runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Carlos Barientos made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jackson is 2-1 when Barientos allows two or fewer hits, but 7-13 otherwise. Barientos was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Jackson let Lance Moseley and Kemauri Bryant run wild. Moseley went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Bryant went 1-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs Bryant has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Morris, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.
Jackson hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.
Millry's record is now 8-15. As for Jackson, their record now sits at 9-14.
Millry was able to grind out a solid win over Jackson when the teams last played back in March, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
