Lookout Valley is a perfect 10-0 against Howard Tech since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lookout Valley Yellowjackets will face off against the Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Lookout Valley has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the third.

Lookout Valley came up short against South Pittsburg on Tuesday, falling 14-1.

Lookout Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cason O'Connor, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that O'Connor brought in this season.

Meanwhile, Howard Tech gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past Berean Academy 17-0. The victory was some much needed relief for the Hustlin' Tigers as it spelled an end to their 17-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Camper Colter was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other pitching news, O'Dareyon Cox looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero).

Back at the plate, Marques Blackburn was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Anthony Fullilove, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Lookout Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Howard Tech, their record is now 1-0.

Lookout Valley took their win against Howard Tech in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 22-0. Does Lookout Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Howard Tech turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
