The Ben Lomond Scots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 67-60 to Grantsville. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (56), Ben Lomond still had to take the loss.
Ben Lomond's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jake East, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Jordan Harrison was another key contributor, scoring 20 points.
Ben Lomond has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Grantsville, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ben Lomond will take on Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Morgan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Ben Lomond likes a good challenge. As for Grantsville, they will be playing at home against Ogden at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ogden knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matches -- so hopefully Grantsville likes a good challenge.
