If the Northwestern Wildcats were feeling good off their 78-52 takedown of the Bell Griffins last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Northwestern was beaten by DuVal 84-40 on Tuesday. Northwestern has not had much luck with DuVal recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
DuVal had a senior duo take command as Daniel Nwaete dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds and Amani Lett scored 15 points along with nine assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Mudd, who scored eight points along with five assists.
Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for DuVal, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Northwestern will head out on the road to face off against High Point at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. DuVal will be home for the holidays to greet Riverdale Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on December 21st.
