This season hasn't been kind to the Boys' Home Hilltoppers, who are still winless after their sixth match. They had to suffer through a rough 85-24 loss at the hands of The Covenant. Boys' Home lost against The Covenant in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-44 score last time.
The Covenant's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathaniel Olazagasti led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Newton, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Boys' Home bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for The Covenant, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boys' Home will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grace Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024. As for The Covenant, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Fishburne Military at 7:00 p.m. Fishburne Military is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
