After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rushville, Cambridge City Lincoln was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against Non Varsity Opponent as they made off with a 13-7 victory. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
Carson Hawk made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits. Hawk was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jack Patton was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaxyn Hunt, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
