The Central Catholic Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Tualatin Timberwolves at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Central Catholic comes in on 12 and Tualatin on six.
Central Catholic extended their postseason success on Friday against West Linn. They snuck past the Lions with a 12-7 win.
It was another big night for Cru Newman, who rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Tualatin faced Sherwood in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Tualatin strolled past Sherwood with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 42-23. Tualatin's victory was all the more impressive since Sherwood was averaging only 6.5 points allowed on the season.
Central Catholic has yet to lose a match on the road this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.5 points. As for Tualatin, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
Everything came up roses for Central Catholic against Tualatin in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 as the team secured a 44-14 victory. Does Central Catholic have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tualatin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
