Johnstown is 1-9 against Amsterdam since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Johnstown Sir Bills will head out on the road to face off against the Amsterdam Rams at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Sunday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Johnstown beat Voorheesville 56-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Johnstown.
Meanwhile, even though Schenectady scored an imposing 60 points on Friday, Amsterdam still came out on top. Amsterdam took their match against Schenectady 72-60.
Jude Flint was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Miller, who scored 12 points.
Johnstown's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Amsterdam, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Johnstown was dealt a bruising 101-45 defeat at the hands of Amsterdam in their previous meeting back in January. Can Johnstown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
