The Alief Elsik Rams will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against the Clear Springs Chargers at 1:00 p.m. on December 16th. Alief Elsik will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 754th, while Clear Springs is ranked 127th).
Alief Elsik struggled with assists on Monday (Pasadena Memorial had ten more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Alief Elsik was the victim of a tough 67-47 loss at the hands of Pasadena Memorial.
Ricky Wilson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tim Ofesi, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Clear Springs has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Iowa Colony 73-53.
Alief Elsik bumped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Clear Springs, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
Alief Elsik suffered a grim 57-37 defeat to Clear Springs in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Alief Elsik avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
