Nate Fezell made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Drew Kockler was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Cochranton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Conneaut Area, falling 9-1.
Cochranton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Walker Carroll, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.
