The Seffner Christian Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 77-46 loss at the hands of Jesuit. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Seffner Christian in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.
Leading Jesuit to victory were Nate Boakye and Christopher Moliere. Boakye scored 15 points along with three steals, while Moliere scored 20 points along with four steals. Boakye is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Burkard, who scored ten points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Seffner Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Jesuit, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-6.
Seffner Christian will face off against the Bulldogs at TBD on Tuesday. As for Jesuit, they will be playing at home against the Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Tampa Catholic is ranked 93rd, while the Tigers are ranked 86th).
