Lake is 6-1 against the Crusaders since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lake Blue Streaks will look to defend their home court against the Canton Central Catholic Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. Lake is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Lake, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-45 loss to the Vikings. While losing is never fun, Lake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 457th, while the Vikings are ranked 71st).
Meanwhile, Canton Central Catholic's game on Tuesday was all tied up 34-34 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They blew past Manchester 71-48.
Lake dropped their record down to 3-14 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Canton Central Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
