Logan Ginter Has Career Rushing Day
Starting off the list is Clear Creek's Logan Ginter, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Thursday Ginter picked up a sack, made five total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended a pass, good enough to also set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards.
The victory (which was Clear Creek's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Ginter and Clear Creek will take on Justice at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Gilpin County was led to victory by Drew Starkey, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Starkey rushed for 284 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
This season, Starkey has averaged 19 passing yards per game.

Ryan Reyes posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made 11 total tackles. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 62 yards.
Reyes must have Gilpin County's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Reyes last faced the Eagles back in October of 2023, he picked up 1.5 sacks, made 23 total tackles, and defended a pass.

Front Range Christian was led to victory by Luke Jerome, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Saturday. Jerome rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and also threw for 73 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Jerome is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Belleview Christian on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Jerome saw the Bruins), he picked up 58 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 30 yards.
