Westview has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Gretna East Griffins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Westview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Westview earned a 62-53 win over Gretna.
Westview found their leader in underclassman Stella Williams, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Olivia Ross was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Gretna East ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They snuck past Columbus with a 46-42 win. 46 seems to be a good number for Gretna East as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Westview's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Gretna East, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.
