The CHASE Conquerors are taking a road trip to face off against Fort Wayne Crusaders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with CHASE sitting on five straight victories dating back to last season and Fort Wayne Crusaders on six.
CHASE came out on top against Bloomfield Christian School on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Conquerors took their game against the Defenders 8-4. The game was the first time the Conquerors have beaten the Defenders on their field since April 11, 2023.

Judah Mason was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Mason was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Mason is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other pitching news, Konnor Kern looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Caleb Niswonger was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Niswonger, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
CHASE hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Wayne Crusaders). Everything went their way against Lakewood Park Christian on Thursday as they made off with a 14-6 win.
The team relied heavily on Christian Bontrager, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Xander McCarran was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.
CHASE's record is now 4-0. As for Fort Wayne Crusaders, their record now sits at 6-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. CHASE has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Fort Wayne Crusaders struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
CHASE suffered a grim 13-1 defeat to Fort Wayne Crusaders in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Conquerors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
