It was a good run, but Burleson unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 13-9 to the Centennial Spartans. The Elks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Burleson's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Centennial, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

While Burleson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
