Lamar will take on Booneville at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep their eight-game winning streak alive.
Last Friday, Lamar had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 15-7 win over Mansfield. No one put up better numbers for Lamar than junior Jacob Parmenter, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 135 yards on the ground. Parmenter has been a consistent playmaker for Lamar as this was the 8th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Booneville put the finishing touches on their 7th blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Charleston 42-3. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Booneville had established a 27-3 advantage.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 8-0. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
