The Central Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 58-50 to Mt. Pleasant. Central was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Mt. Pleasant apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lester Rodriguez , who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Ramos Ramos , who scored 11 points.
Central bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Mt. Pleasant, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.
Coincidentally, Central and Mt. Pleasant will both be playing Smithfield the next time they take the court. Central will host Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Mt. Pleasant will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
