The Westside Rams had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They skirted past Greenville 61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kmajay Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. Jenkins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Zeke Marshall was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds.
Westside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Greenville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Greenwood the next time they take the court. Greenville will head out to face Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Westside will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
