Attica and South Putnam squared off in some playoff action  on Friday, but Attica had to settle for second. They had to suffer through  a    68-14 loss at the hands of the Eagles.   Ty Benton was  his usual excellent self, rushing for 151 yards and three  touchdowns on only six carries for South Putnam. Benton's longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.  Drew Cline was another key player, throwing for 66 yards and a pair of  TDs on only five passes.
Attica is  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-8. As for South Putnam, their victory was  their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 8-2.
 Attica does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Putnam, they will square off against Fountain Central at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31  points  in their last four contests.
