WENDERIUS JONES had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 90 yards and three touchdowns. Ennis is 5-1 when JONES posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.
Ennis didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. AARON LAZA picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilson). Their defense stepped up to hand Hillcrest a 48-0 shutout on Friday. The Wildcats pushed the score to 41-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers had no chance of recovering from.
Wilson's win came from a few key players Ennis will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Reid Kirkland, who threw for 205 yards and four TDs, and also rushed for 33 yards. Those 33 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Luke Walsh did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 109 receiving yards.
