Hamilton Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 63-53 to the Peru Tigers. One positive for the Huskies, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Hamilton Heights lost, don't look at Katie Brown. Despite the final result, she posted 24 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Blanton, who had seven points and five rebounds.

Peru's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacey Boswell led the charge by going 9 of 16 on her way to 26 points. Another player making a difference was Addie Robbins, who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, 11 boards, and 12 assists.

Hamilton Heights' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Peru, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

Hamilton Heights wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 71-26 defeat against Noblesville on the 5th. As for Peru, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-40 loss against Wabash on the 7th.
