Logan Middendorf made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Middendorf was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Corbin Kim and Alex Rodriguez did most of the damage at the plate: Kim scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Rodriguez scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
