On Friday, The Williams Valley Vikings got themselves on the board against the Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils, but the Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Blue Devils 54-0 on the road. Given Williams Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while Shenandoah Valley is ranked 508th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Williams Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alex Achenbach, who rushed for 237 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Shoop, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns.
The victory makes it two in a row for Williams Valley and bumps their season record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.5 points per game. As for Shenandoah Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Williams Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shenandoah Valley is also done with their season.
