Butler played a tough  matchup  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost  44-22 to the Mallard Creek Mavericks. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Mavericks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

 Butler didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Matthew Shields and  Ali Aman. Butler now  has a losing record of 4-5. As for Mallard Creek, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
