The Edison Eagles won the last time they faced the Will Rogers College Ropers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Edison walked away with a 59-47 win over Will Rogers College. Given Edison's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while Will Rogers College is ranked 236th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Will Rogers College saw an underclassman step up: Dkarrion Titsworth scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Branden Crosslen, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Edison and bumps their season record up to 10-6. As for Will Rogers College, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edison on the road again on Friday and play against Holland Hall at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Holland Hall will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. As for Will Rogers College, they will head out on the road to square off against Sapulpa at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Sapulpa is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
