The North Haven Nighthawks will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Xavier Falcons  at 7:00  p.m.
 North Haven is headed into the  match out to prove that what happened against West Haven  on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. North Haven came up short against  West Haven, falling  32-7. Having soared to a lofty 49  points in the game before, the Nighthawks couldn't push the score so high this time.
  Joey Mastroianni put forth a good effort for the losing side as  he rushed for 167 yards, and also threw for six yards and a touchdown. North Haven also got a significant boost from  Artie Mccormack Iv, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.
 Meanwhile, Xavier waltzed into their contest  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Academics by a score of  31-22.
 North Haven's record now sits at 4-3. As for Xavier, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
