Summit had won eight straight at home dating back to last season, but  on Friday they bumped up to 9-0 to make it nine. Their defense stepped up to hand Caldera  a   47-0 shutout. That looming  47-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Storm yet this  season.
As for Caldera, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6. They haven't had much luck with Summit recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
 Despite the  defeat, Caldera saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Waylon Clarke rushed for 107 yards. Clarke's rushing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 107  rushing yards.
 Coming up, Summit will be playing at home against Gresham  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have allowed few  points on average (the Storm 11.3, the Gophers 13.8) so any  points scored will be well earned. Caldera does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
