The Linton-Stockton Miners will head out on the road to face off against the Roncalli Royals at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Linton-Stockton will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Even though Vincennes Lincoln scored an imposing 57 points on Wednesday, Linton-Stockton still came out on top. Linton-Stockton escaped with a win against Vincennes Lincoln by the margin of a single free throw, 58-57. Given Linton-Stockton's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Vincennes Lincoln is ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Roncalli beat Ben Davis 56-47 on Wednesday.
Linton-Stockton pushed their record up to 12-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Roncalli, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.
