With a playoff game on the line, the Azle Christian Fighting Crusaders rose to the challenge on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Kingdom Prep Academy 59-30 on the road. The victory was just what Azle Christian needed coming off of a 54-8 loss in their prior matchup.
Azle Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brodie Clark, who rushed for 231 yards and a touchdown while picking up 12.8 yards per carry. Clark was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards. Another player making a difference was Andy Wisniewski , who rushed for 75 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries.
Azle Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Kingdom Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Azle Christian will be staying on the road on November 18th to face off against Nazarene Christian Academy. Nazarene Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Kingdom Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
