Julia Varhola was a major factor in Hempfield Area's win over Penn-Trafford on Friday. Varhola did her part (and then some), striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk) for the 'W'. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season.
