After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Washington, The Lee Academy Colts were happy to have found some success on Friday. They really took it to Oak Hill Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 60-14 win at home. The result was nothing new for Lee Academy, who have now won five matches by 35 points or more so far this season.
Darren Williams had a dynamite game for Lee Academy, rushing for 237 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Williams' longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Desi Monix, who rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Lee Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Oak Hill Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Lee Academy will look to defend their home field on Friday against Wayne Academy at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Mississippi (Wayne Academy is ranked 218th, while Lee Academy is ranked 197th). Oak Hill Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
