The Freire Charter Dragon entered their tilt with Penn Treaty with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Freire Charter came out on top in a nail-biter against Penn Treaty on Thursday and snuck past 44-42.
Freire Charter found their leader in underclassman Ibrahim Mahmoud, who scored ten points. The match was Mahmoud's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abdul Lo, who scored eight points.
Freire Charter has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Penn Treaty, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4.
Freire Charter will square off against Liguori Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Penn Treaty, they will head out on the road to face off against Bodine at 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
